my Zoe was in for a day and they told me we have fixed it, well they didn’t! when i dropped off the Zoe i even included a letter asking them to call the Renault dealer in Portsmouth for more info. but hey no they didn’t call. useless those dealers. this was also the reason that i maintained my cars my self for the last 15 years. i must doing a good job as my last petrol car had 203000 miles on the ODO when PX her for the Zoe (big mistake on my side but that’s another story).February 22, 2016 at 18:46 #26501
ITS FIXED!!!! AT long last, only took them 3 bloody weeks to fix something I told them about! lol
However its not a happy ending, got the car back home and noticed a large scratch and chunk in the rear bumper, passenger side, the side they’d been working on!
Absolutely furious with the dealer, its massively obvious, someone knows they did it, just decided not to own up! Made even worse by the fact the service manager seemed to laugh it off, gonna call back wednesday with it and see about getting it sorted! Im gonna try and tackle the issue of some sort of financial compensation aswell, we’ve owned the car 7 weeks, they’ve had the thing for 3 of them after ignoring my advice on what the issue was, then they’ve gone and bloody damaged it!
Cant wait for the “how did we do” email they send out after having work carried out, bunch of idiots, Evans Halshaw Sunderland, avoid!February 22, 2016 at 18:50 #26502
I am so pleased you have finally got your car sorted, but sorry to hear about your damage. That is always my fear whenever a car goes into a garage to be worked on 🙁
Good luck with getting the outcome you deserve.February 22, 2016 at 19:07 #26503
Cheers, thought Id confirm what you said though, they defintley weld something up in near the roof, they gave me a completed job sheet, and it said something like “carried out body welding fix”!
Went over the car with a light wand and found no evidence of any painting in that area, so its got me thinking if its under the little plastic panel on the roof, might pull it off on Wednesday and have a look for any heat/welding marks!
So everyone who has this noise, its definitely an issue Renault UK are aware of and have a fix for, so push and push your dealer to just get intouch with them straight away, save you time and possible damage whilst they cock about themselves!February 22, 2016 at 19:12 #26504
Don’t go breaking any clips as they are very fragile ;). I thought about doing that to see what they have done, but didn’t bother in the end, just glad its sorted. I broke one of the headliner retaining clips at the rear of the roof in the early days of my noise investigations. Dealer replaced it for me without any bother.February 23, 2016 at 07:55 #26508
It would be great if anyone could get the “official” RUK fix for this! Mines going back in next Monday, and as I’ve said before, my dealer just doesn’t seem to want to confer with anyone! They would rather waste their time and mine sat in the boot with headphones and a microphone all week, despite me giving them details of dealers who have successfully carried out the repair !February 24, 2016 at 10:38 #26544
mine is back in at the Renault dealer for the second time “to look at the problem” the service rep said
looking at it isn’t going to fix the problem i told him…February 24, 2016 at 10:44 #26545
Mine is going back next week, but they actually fixed some of the clicks the first time around. So I hope they fix all this time.February 25, 2016 at 09:30 #26558
Zoe is back with click and service manager is waiting from Renault for more info about this click; he got the video. He’s hoping on a recall for the involved vehicles.
the service manager walked me to their black demo Zoe opened the back and asked me to reproduce the click and yep yep even their demo Zoe was clicking away…
on my Zoe they replaced the front callipers including pads as i complained about the squick the brakes do make, this was on the Renault list to change if needed.
front speakers drivers side are indeed not working as they should and is on their list to change in the near future.March 1, 2016 at 15:15 #26651
So mine is in again for the “Click”! Has anyone actually managed to get any official description of what has been repaired when they have had the “Weld Fix” done? I’ve given as much info to my dealer as I can, but I will guarantee when I get the car back later in the week they wont have resolved it, wont have consulted Renault or contacted the Dealer in Portsmouth that has experience of the repair!
