I loved my 1st gen ZOE and was sad when I had to sell it. I drive a 2014 Leaf now and it’s not nearly as nice and gets a lot less range on a same size battery.
But for my next EV I am not considering the new ZOE. It is perfect in every way but one: 50kW charging is not enough going forward. Yes, it’s mainly a city car, but when driving in the city I charge at home, so I don’t even need 50kW CCS then. No, I need that when leaving the city. And that’s when charging speed is even more important then total range. For that reason I’m considering an ID3 or e208. The e208 has less range, but a higher charging speed, and on long trips that will save me a lot of time when those 100kW+ chargers become common place in the next 5 years.
I really do wish the ZOE came with 100kW DC charging, I would not consider any other cars if that were the case.
