    Well given the time and trouble most of us seem to take to get our batteries charged up, I for one will not be in a rush to deliver all the juice back to the grid, free parking or not. How on earth will they control this scheme. Using electric vehicles to supplement the grid at times of peak demand. Are they going to phone us all and say please plug in your car, we need your battery now!

    Added to that you will get shortened battery life due to more cycling of charges full to empty.

    Dundee is about to start work on three charging hubs that will have solar canopies feeding large storage batteries, surely a move in the right direction and is already done in other locations.

    Nissan Leaf firmware, ( only) in Japan allows the EV to connect the battery output to the house. BBC 5 live.
