Just a quick start – I’ll add to this over time. Suggestions for documents of interest are welcome.

Trevor, I now have the UK version of the Renault Zoe handbook which you can add to the documents section. I’m sure it will give us even more information. Happy reading everyone!

Thanks Paul! I’ve been flicking through it over coffee.

I hope very much that the weather is never so bad over here that we get a week of -25 degrees!

So far I’ve read a lot about death and fire 🙂

Oh, and how to change and turn off the ‘Pedestrian Horn’ (The ZE Voice noise).

Interesting the Danish manual (and the Swedish that was supplied but was written in Danish inside…) both state on page 1-10 that on various models the EVSE cable is an accessory, I could not see that in this UK manual. Of course the Danish dealers do not have the EVSE, just the manual mentioned it.

Thanks for that – done! It makes very interesting reading.

I’ve also taken the opportunity to tidy up the page (using a table) and I’ve added some documents for those interested in the background and development of ZOE (ZOE press kit, Paris Motor Show press kit, and French technical powerpoint presentation).

@Trevor I have managed to find a downloadable PDF of the English R-Link user manual. I’m sure as with the Zoe handbook people would like to have a read whilst waiting for their Zoe’s to arrive.

    Thanks – added. It’s very interesting – a few things I learned:

    1. When you recharge at a public station that station is automatically added to the list of recorded stations – pretty useful.

    2. You can download apps and large files to a PC then transfer them to the R-Link.

    3. R-Link stores your credit car information ‘in the cloud’. That makes me a little uncomfortable, though I imagine it’s only for buying stuff and therefore optional (though that’s not clear from the description).

Oh, and it starts when you turn on the ‘ignition’! I wonder if in 20 years we’ll still call it that.

My biggest problem with TomTom is that it only shows one route, which might not be the most eco-friendly route, for instance highways. On Google maps on the phone I can usually see 2-3 routes to my destination with estimated distance and time, something like this would be much more useful on the ZOE. Only way I have seen to ‘fix’ this is to try the destination on the phone, then select the best one and then on the ZOE add a ‘drive via’ destination, that usually works fine. Hopefully we can get GoogleMaps on the R-link later, especially if Google are keen on entering the EV race!

Also, it would be great if it would be possible to download the data from my travels to a PC program (or raw data) so you could see where you’ve been, how you drove and how your driving has been progressing over the days, weeks, months since you got the car.
