This is a quick introduction to using the ZOE. It is intended to give just the basic information required for a test drive, use of a ZOE from a hire/r

I’m underway writing my book on the ZOE – this is the very first section. Any comments or corrections appreciated.
Could you add at the end:
“If at a public charging point with a fixed cable, ensure the cable is returned correctly”
We’re all fed up of finding them full of rain 😉
Good point: I have another version further inside the book, with more details, and I’ve added your suggestion there.
And what you can do when your Zoe reports “Battery Charge Impossible” when attempting to use said charging point 😉
Yes, already planned – charging will get its own chapter!
And how about “Check Electrical System” and the dreaded spanner.
One cause seems to be the electrical supply from the charger is interrupted before the car is turned off.
Another happens when the car is being driven:
Having done some timely measurements I have it seems as though the tolerances of the 12 Volt battery charging circuit and the 12 Volt battery monitoring might clash, i.e the 12 volt battery output drops below the acceptable lower voltage for the monitor before the traction battery powered charger cuts in.
It’s only a suspicion, so if anybody knows better please enlighten me…

I’ll try to mention that too, but it’s going to be hard to cover everything.
Release the charging port door (it carries the Renault badge on the nose) using the button on the key fob
or dashboard.
or dashboard.
Yes, I had that in there originally but the ‘primer’ was getting too long for ‘first day with the ZOE’ so that was one of the bits that got edited out. It’s in the longer version, and there’ll be a section explaining what/where all the controls are around the driver.
