A recent press release caught my eye about the My Solar Port, a car port with solar panels for charging an EV. It sounds like a neat idea and could be a good solution for homes without garages and/or a roof suitable for solar panels.

    I like the idea about the foldeable solar car port, it seems to fit the ZOE just fine. Maybe they will have different sizes for Tesla?

    However it looks like it would easily scratch the car. Not sure how fast it would be able to charge the car (only daytime though, and only on sunny days). I think any car park would need a backup power source.
