which part of this is a steal?

Ok so 7500 miles cost £50. So there is where they’ve hidden £20 a month.

Also it says 36 monthly payment, but then actually says 49 payments. Lets go with that figure.

So £89 + £70 = £159 x 49 = £7791 + £599 depots plus £99 finance fee = £8489. Pennies less than I paid to own my Zoe. And this one isn’t even yours after 49 months. You want to own it you have to cough up another £7049.

Ok so if your on a low income and your desperate for a new car this isn’t a bad way to go, because it spreads the cost. But as a top deal its not that great really.

Especially a pretty rubbish deal in that your paying for 7500 miles per annum battery but the car is only covered for 6000 miles. So if you want to cover your 7500miled you be paid for you’ve got an excess of £120 to pay on car part of the PCP.

Personally I feigning hate how manufacturers can hide stuff like this in plain site.

Upshot they are still saying future value is £6900. Which bodes well for full owners in 4 years.

But surely with a £5000 dealer deposit contribution £189 is too much. It definitely doesn’t look right to me. It also definitely looks like the battery rentals have increased.

    Hi Guys

I’ve just checked the Zoe Offers page and their appears to be a new offer on the Zoe. They are showing it as only costing £89 per month plus £70 battery hire.

I can’t seem to get their figures to add up and also it looks like they increased the cost of battery rental.

Has any one else looked at this.

I have to say Sandy, I’ve nothing but praise for Mark at the Coatbridge dealership.

He knows his stuff about Zoe’s (battery rentals, British Gas etc.) and has been patient and helpful with all my enquiries. He’s been a bit difficult to get hold of occasionally, but that’s just because he’s a busy man!

Before I got to speak to Mark, I did deal with a couple of salesmen at other branches (because I was enquiring about Zoe’s on their website that were elsewhere) and they didn’t come across as particularly familiar with Zoe’s, and they didn’t get back to me when they promised to. When I was dealing with them it seemed like an uphill struggle to get them to sell you a car! However, once I started to deal with Mark, everything was a breeze. Straightforward, honest and efficient.

I think it’s just a case of getting to the right person.

I am in a similar position in arriving at the party a little bit late… Paying £188 + battery rental each month just does not stack up financially.

If any of the deals were still on offer I would be signing up for a Zoe within a week, but sadly without a hefty discount on advertised prices it is just not going to happen.

    @trevor if you’re paying £250 bats a month I’d feel a bit had.

I don’t mind telling people I’m on £188 per month inclusive of battery hire.

Monthly price doesn’t mean much without knowing deposit/term/type of finance/mileage on pcp (if pcp)/mileage on battery rental! 😉

I pay around £150 a month, with £57 battery lease for 3 years… then add electricity to charge her up.

To be fair I got her for a good price, so not really complaining.

Doesn’t seem to work when not plugged in for me, I get a text “Battery level cannot be provided. Vehicle out of reach or neither charging nor running”.

Pretty sure you can request status, you need to go to Battery and do it, but it sends an email to Renault I think, and then some time later you get an email to say your update, and the app then matches that update.

Is it not the case that the 2% gain is due to the battery resting or the soft shutdown of the car and start up is re-checking battery state?

If you switch your mobile phone off completely at 50% and turn it back on a few hours later it can “gain” a few %. Presumably as it re-checks battery state. You’ll loose the gain really quick though, so its probably down to battery chemistry and how its monitored.
