I have the impression that the whole pre-reservation was a bit of a joke – or at least no more than a data gathering exercise. Apart from the free gifts I got nothing from Renault – what I really wanted was information, but never got anything. I have kept pushing with my dealer to make the order, visit to see the demonstrator, arrange for a test drive, etc. I’ve never heard anything about any of that from Renault. I’m sure, therefore, that my pre-reservation has in no way helped me to get my Zoe early (or not so early, as it now appears).
May 16, 2013 at 21:13 #2929I called my local dealer (Middlesbrough) today- just to enquire if he had any idea when they might start receiving their first Zoe’s. I was amazed to hear that they already had their demonstrator!
Needless to say i was driving it around the city an hour later. Amazing car. So i started talking to them about putting an order in. I gave them my reservation details (i reserved in december #317) and they explained that they would go away and chase up the reservation so that they can link it to the order that i’m about to make.
I’ll update when i hear back. Vague estimate of delivery date when i pressed him was ‘august?’
May 16, 2013 at 22:09 #2930By the sound of people on here your Pre reservation experience seems as good as ours.
The only difference is you have mentioned some freebies? We thought we would get some but nothing ever materialised, not even an email update.
If people could post details of dates once you have them as Pre res or not. There seems to be a few different dates floating around. I just wish Renault had read their own contract before giving out very little and misleading dates and information now.
I just hope the car doesn’t take forever now that things seem to be (slowly) moving into gear. I’m guessing time will tell.
May 18, 2013 at 08:03 #2938I’ve been given a date of leaving factory on 4th June and expected at dealer by end of June, I also asked for a test drive and my dealer said they aren’t registering their Zoe as it’s for the showroom, but could perhaps let me take it ‘around the block’, which is not good enough, I want a decent test drive, I want to ensure it gives a decent range, with and without heating or A/C.
I’ve asked about PCP deals etc and I don’t think I’ll end up getting the Zoe due to the cost, I bought a Leaf earlier in the year which of course has dropped alot in price since I got it, but more importantly between the cost of the PCP per month and the battery lease it is way more than the Leaf, but the residual value of the Leaf after three years on my PCP is almost three times more than the Zoe, and I wouldn’t have the battery lease either.
I love the Zoe and would change it in a heartbeat but at the cost I doubt it will happen.
Like others I believed in the pre-reservation, I ordered mine’s on the first day of release and I am number 005 in the UK, but it meant nothing, all empty promises. I received a pair of Zoe trainers, and a notebook, as well as a model Zoe(not female!) just at Christmas time, we’ve had no contact from the dealer, or Renault, all contact has been iniated by myself including the chasing up, so much so that I have a current complaint in with Renault UK which is being managed by a customer service manager, definately isn’t good enough.
May 18, 2013 at 11:26 #2939We currently have a complaint being handled via the customer service team. (so far wanting me to complain mre about them and their misleading information)
I just hope people start getting the information they deserve soon. Otherwise people will soon lose interest n the car.May 22, 2013 at 09:51 #3011
AnonymousYay! I’ve got a delivery date!
Boo! It’s the week starting August 12th!
If I’d’ve known last year I’d be waiting until August 2013, I think I probably would’ve got a Leaf. Oh well, I’ve got a date now at least.
May 22, 2013 at 18:12 #3013eBay has a Zoe for sale! 🙂

May 22, 2013 at 19:08 #3016There could be a Black Intens available very soon. If anyone is interested.
May 22, 2013 at 19:09 #3017I should add for delivery around the tail end of June.
