    Thanks for sharing your experience.

    Have British Gas charged you extra? And do you mind me asking how long the total distance from fusebox to chargepoint is? My job seems very similar to yours, and they’re trying to tell me it requires an additional engineer for the day at a cost of £300ish.

    So far they haven’t charged me extra. The engineer suggested I would need to, but when I told him I could show him the chargepoint application form I had sent off, and it specified up to 30m of cabling included, he was satisfied. He implied, though, it wasn’t his problem so in principle I could still get a bill from ‘head office’. Having said that, though, I didn’t get shown a quote or have to sign anything extra so I think I’m in the clear.

    I believe the cable length used was a bit less than 25m.
