An interesting link, Mitja – consumption appears to be reducing, which is good news, but I’m sure it’s nothing like fast enough.
Mitja, I think there is perhaps some benefit in burning methane to produce carbon dioxide but it is a complex question – methane is worse in the short term for heating the atmosphere, but carbon dioxide stays around longer:
