The development of the Zoe has been relatively fast, though it is quite a complex story. It can be considered to begin with the Zoe urban concept car in 2005 (using a petrol engine), though the final vehicle turned out to be very different – a new generation electric car.

It is interesting to note how the car’s name subtly changed over time, from Zoé through Zoe to ZOE.
