Just thought i would post that ive bought a renault zoe like most of you on here and wondered which charge cards ill need? I live near manchester if this info is needed?
P.s. Its mainly thanks to alloam living with the zoe vids that ive bought this and becuase i usually drive 2-15miles a day so it suits my needs.
My other concern i have is i was told a monthly price for the car / battery on signing up but others have been quoted more for the battery? I purchased the car on may 11th and its due around june 16th ive been toldMay 31, 2015 at 13:18 #18847Ecotricity definately which covers motorway network and is free and can’t comment on your location. Check Zap Map which will show you.
May 31, 2015 at 14:07 #18852Hi Ben
I live in Stockport and use Ecotricity which I have used a couple of times at IKEA in Ashton, I also have a GMEV one which seems to be the main one for this area – I’ve used this in Bramhall and at Didsbury and I also have a Polar one which I have used at the Trafford Centre.
Good luck you’ll love it.May 31, 2015 at 14:36 #18853Hey Ben. I’m Nr evesham and stratford upon Avon down the m6/m5 from you. Any advise needed for traveling through just ask. Plugged in Midlands card is very common down here as is the cyc card. My home charger is on zap map and I live in a quiet riverside village with great eating options or you can park your car by the river to sunbathe or relax. Great Park for the kids too if you fancy a long distance day out with a guaranteed charge at the end of it. Happy motoring and welcome on board.
May 31, 2015 at 14:46 #18854Hi indi joolz and samsam
Thanks for making me feel welcome here in the forums, well im from rochdale near birch services, ive got my charge point *currently untested* im a little unsure of putting it on zapmap for the reason of having my own driveway blocked lol, altho i would be happy to let anyone use it if they were stuck/almost out of charge near me.
Why is there so many cards, im guessing ill be buying a few as we take our little girl to sealife centres quite often, trafford centre blackpool birmingham etc should be fun with limited range 🙂May 31, 2015 at 15:11 #18855As a private share they would have to call you first to check the drive is clear.
May 31, 2015 at 15:19 #18856As all the destinations you mention use motorways ecotricity would be a must for you Ben

You probably want a GMEV card, though if you’re not within their area, you don’t quality for the GMEV discount (you’ll have to get it from CYC), and it’s likely annual, not a one-off fee as advertised. Unfortunately, we’ve had a terrible experience with CYC/GMEV chargers not charging.
and I also have a Polar one which I have used at the Trafford Centre.
Are you sure? The chargers we used at Trafford centre are CYC/GMEV.

AnonymousNo need to wait for the reg number Ben, just putting ‘tbc’ on the online forms should work a treat.
