Does anybody have any experience with this?
Yesterday, everything AOK. Today:
– No audio at all. No navigation sounds, no radio, no audio at all
– Cannot change the volume
– No radio frequencies are visible (just 87.9 – nothing else)
– In the ‘spatialisation’ settings, no item is selected. If I select one, the setting does not stick
– Cannot select ‘Line’, ‘Bluetooth’ or any other audio source – the buttons cannot be touched (as they are not active)(I have done a full reset; no difference.)
Ideas?
Thanks!
March 24, 2015 at 10:29 #14559Not a lot of help but I had that and when I got home I powered off (the car) and tried again but no luck so I was going to call the dealer the next day. The next morning all was well again but I don’t know why.
Up until yesterday it had all been fine but the no maps happened again (working OK after overnight rest) so I’m not 100% sure all is well.
Not sure if a charge resets things but I have found things seem to clear after it has been charged.
March 28, 2015 at 09:48 #14916Thanks for your thoughts, sklblue.
This is now ‘resolved’, in that after leaving the car for 8 hours everything worked again. Not very confidence-inspiring. Just for the record, in case others find it useful in the future, I didn’t charge during that time.
April 6, 2015 at 11:55 #15422I have experienced that after a phonecall using bluetooth with R-link, all the audio was gone..no radio, no navigation. It was as if the phone still was using the audio, even after the call was finished. The sollution for me was to make another phonecall, and hanging up again. After the 2. Phonecall the audio came back..
April 6, 2015 at 17:08 #15427In my Megane I had weird issues like this; where the car seemed to think I was still in a call after it ended, so I had no audio. Rebooting my phone fixed it. I figured it might’ve been an Android bug. Not seen it in the ZOE though.
(Megane wasn’t RLink, was an older naffer system).
July 9, 2015 at 08:30 #21012Had this issue again (about the 4th time now). Again, all was well the next morning but does it suggest a faulty rlink?
Wife wasn’t happy driving home with no music even though it was only 40 minutes.
July 9, 2015 at 17:50 #21026but does it suggest a faulty rlink?
In my experience, all RLinks are faulty 😉
I think the issues most have happen to everyone, and it’s just buggy crap rather than a faulty unit 🙁
July 9, 2015 at 22:31 #21034@sklblue, did you made the last update 11.279 (released 21/05) the update should fix a bug concerning no audio after pairing iphone or ipod with bluetooth. Maybe your problem is related..
July 10, 2015 at 14:05 #21048buggy crap
That’s Android for ya!
I just went back to Android for my latest phone, god I was spoiled with BB10 OS.
July 10, 2015 at 15:32 #21064I have had this loss of radio whilst driving and I believed it related to a download coming in, more worrying was on two occasions the car stopped completely as I reversed out of the driveway.Another audio odd as previously posted, is the complete loss of audio when line in mini jack is playing into the line in from a phone. If the phones Bluetooth is on, it will cut the line in feed, which means you cannot USD the line input and go hands fee on the phone.Going Bluetooth from phone to car has to be selected again each time you leave the car, pain,so playing podcasts for example over Bluetooth is a nuisance each time you get into the car’ the whole “Hand shack proceedure has to be gone through.
