    buggy crap

    That’s Android for ya!

This isn’t really true. My wife and I have had Android (Nexus) phones for years with very few issues. RLink is crap because of crap RLink software, not Android. Lots of Android apps are buggy shit too (Renault have one of them too!), but that’s down to shoddy coding on the part of the app developers.

I’ve had very few crashes/issues on Android that weren’t specific to apps crashing.

I have to defend Android as well. The underlying operating system is not at fault. It’s the software written by TomTom and Renault that is a mess.

On the topic of lost audio, I have had situations where the front speakers would stop working. This was a bug of some sort. Speakers at the rear did work. The situation was resolved by turning the car off, lock the car, unlock and turn the car on. If that doesn’t work leave it sit for a while.
