So, as I understand it, with 32A you will be able to do a complete charge in 3 hours – that’s pretty good!

    Hi dbdb

Thanks for that, it was just when British Gas came they spent also 2 hours putting this spike around the garden but couldn,t get the reading low enough. The trouble is they gave me no options just said they could not fit the charger. I have an electrician living next door will ask him what he thinks. Spoke to the dealer where I ordered the car from he was not sure about the cables supplied and available with the car but he did say the Fluence comes with a 3 point charging cable. He will come back to me. There is so little information out there to get hold of, I expect this is what happens with progress! Still at least your ready for the car.

“dbdb, how did British Gas get on with your earth is your garage detached or attached to the house? As previously mentioned my free charger could not be fitted due to the earth spike not attaining the right Ohms reading”.

Had the same problem yesterday when fitting my charger to an external wall so the British Gas engineer sunk two earth rods connected in parallel and hay presto problem fixed satisfactory earth acheived 🙂
