In france the Renault Zoe flexicharger cable is able to charge at both 10A and 14A. How about the UK version of the cable. Do any of you know if you can charge at 14A? Here in Denmark we can only charge at 10A with the cable, but it would be nice to be able to charge at higher amp’s.
Domestic sockets are rated at 13A maximum here in the UK so I would say a 10A charge would be the highest possible.
The original french version can switch from 10A to 14A if connected to a special Green-up socket. Is this function active in the UK version ? CEE socket can support 16A. Going from 10A to 14A reduces charging time from 20 hours to 11 hours. Energy waste are reduced from ca. 22 kWh to ca. 12 kWh for a full charge.
The RV outlets that you will find at most camp sites in the UK are rated to 16A max
Like daymolton stated the Danish version of flexicharger is not flexible. It can only charge at 10A. How about the UK version ? Any idea how to reactivate the switching to 14A to use RV outlets ?

I’m considering the granny cable, mainly so I can take the Zoe when going camping, then hook up the car to the camp site electrics and charge overnight.
Anyone see any problems with that?
For the guys with the existing granny cables: do they charge consistently whenever you’ve used them? Are they reliable, or do they trip out a lot?
Thanks!
Can’t speak for the Zoe but with the Fluence the granny cable is totally reliable. I’ll be horrified if the same is not true of the Zoe = that would NOT be progress!
