im a HGV driver plus ex bulider and the wife is a senior staff nurse
so not really geeks but do like things a little different
have been a bit green since we built our first eco house based on walter segal design
had to move out due to local council wanting to develop the area

@spider How did the self-build experience go? Next on my list of big Things To Do is a self-build. Hopefully my next move (4 or 5 years’ time) will be a self-build 🙂

There is a big potential crossover between EV ownership and self-builders and I notice Nissan have already spotted that as they do test drives of the Leaf at the big self-buld shows. Self-builders tend to be more eco-aware, keen on new technologies and also more interested in the less-trodden path.
