April 20, 2015 at 12:42 #16356Any new info on this? Renault have come back as cheapest for me, at £340 via compare.com
AXA haven’t got my reg on the system so can’t insure me.
April 21, 2015 at 09:13 #16436Just to add I have just ordered our insurance. Went with Renault using their website. Simply added the battery cost to the calue of the car (as stated on other sites), and the premium was a little under £300. Quite pleased! 🙂
April 21, 2015 at 22:24 #16486My 5 day complimentary drive-away insurance is just about to expire, so I’ve just added Zoe to our multicar policy with Admiral.
We already had a Civic and MX-5 on the multicar. The Zoe is replacing the MX-5 in usage, but we’re keeping it as an occasional plaything, so the Zoe is added as a third car on the same policy.
Additional cost to add the Zoe for the year… £130
I didn’t even bother to reduce the annual mileage on the MX-5 which will be minimal number of miles now, so it might come down a bit next year.
Can’t grumble at that! I’d certainly recommend looking into a multicar policy for those it can apply to. It’s been great value for us.

Just insured my Zoe with QuoteMeHappy. Here’s a tip – buy your insurance through Compare the Markets. Entered details on QMH and was quoted £362, entered same details on CTM and quoted £261 for the same insurance.

June 22, 2016 at 21:18 #29316I have been re-insuring my Zoe over the last few days and did a meerkat search.
Quotemehappy was cheapest (not by much) but when I contacted them to check if my leased zoe traction battery was covered they responded:
“In this situation we do not cover the battery, we only cover the car, however if you decide to go ahead with the policy and take out separate cover for the battery, then this would be fine.”Diamond and Privilege both confirmed that the leased battery is covered in their standard policy but were a little dearer.
Worth checking before you part with your hard earned especially with a £6K cost to pay RCI for the traction battery in a total loss scenario.
